Recently there have been many whales dying off the coast of Cape Cod. Also, our state whale, the Right Whale is close to extinction. There is an organization called IFAW. Those letters stand for International Fund for Animal Welfare. On October 8th, IFAW tried to save a minke whale. It was too late to save it an dit died. LIONS: Throughout much of Africa, lions are not doing well. Their numbers have dropped 43 percent over the past two decades to as few as 20,000 in the wild. They now occupy just 8 percent of their historic habitat.

Many animals, including the rhino are highly endangered. Some species of rhino have already become extinct. There is a lot we can do to protect them and their habitat.
